Prius mpg rating cut to 48; Dow slips 38

[Music] They're not as economical as you might have thought. According to the government's new fuel economy ratings, hybrids don't get the gas mileage automakers have been touting. The new ratings go into effect beginning with 2008 models. The sticker on the bestselling Toyota Prius hybrid will now read 48 miles per gallon for city driving as opposed to 60. The government is making its ratings available online at fuel economy.gov. gov. Investors will have their hands full this week with reports due out on everything from home sales to consumer spending. On Wall Street Friday, rising oil prices put pressure on stocks. The Dow slipped about 38 1.5 points. The Nasdaq fell back nearly 10. The Air Transport Association says airlines, airports, and the FAA need to discuss ways to better respond to weather related delays, including letting long delayed flights return to the terminal to offload passengers. The move follows JetBlue's passenger bill of rights, which it offered up after leaving hundreds of passengers stranded on the tarmac for hours during a recent ice storm in New York. And KFC wants the Pope's blessing. The fast food chicken chain began selling fish for the first time last week. The company's president sent a letter to Pope Benedict asking for his approval of the offering as a way for Catholics to observe Lent. That's your money watch.
