SOLSTICE (Lancet 2026), Phase 2b T2D: oral small-molecule GLP-1 elecoglipron. Deepest arm is 75 mg with every-2-week dose escalation: HbA1c -1.88% at week 26 (efficacy estimand). The 75 mg every-4-week-escalation arm reached -1.64% and the pooled 75 mg -1.76%; 50 mg q2w -1.42%; vs open-label semaglutide 14 mg -1.28% and placebo -0.15% (Table 2). AstraZeneca's once-daily oral GLP-1 (licensed from Eccogene as ECC5004 / AZD5004). Phase 3 obesity program (EMBOLD) underway.
